hey ho people! assalamualaikum. hope we're all doing great on this beautiful day. insyaALLAH.
finally, i am already three days into my easter holidays (which will end in 6 days' time. urrgh) and life feels so good when there's no worrying about tests and exams. although i still have to do a little catching up on my studies but hey, i'm gonna take this one step at a time. this one week is apparently the only time i have to sleep, eat, and breathe properly, come monday may 2nd, hell will break loose once again. haha.
the last few weeks were the most torturous weeks i've had so far. A because i had barely enough time for myself and B, i had to lock myself up in my room practically the whole day studying my brain out. oh God. how i managed to come out of it alive, beats me. anyway, during the previous weekend, i wriggled myself free from my studying routine and had a little getaway, or excursion with my friends to a place called MARGARET RIVER. don't ask me where that is, all i know it's situated somewhere in the western australian region. lol. my sense of direction is almost as bad as mr. bean's. mind you.
so we drove for as long as 3 hours to get to our friend's small cottage (i think?) and safely arrived there at around 2pm (i think? omg). then we headed out to some beautiful beach before continuing on our journey to the lighthouse. the views were simply breathtaking. never seen this side of australia before and i never thought i'd love australia so much.
the beach. pretty eh?
*should've rotated this one bfore uploading it. darn* look at the crystal clear green water! i had to dip my foot in it and the water was just refreshingly cool. loved it.
the light house. it's ancient, dude!
aint we adorable? lol
another beach we dropped by at sundown
that was on day 1. on the second day of our trip, we went deep into the woods to visit the lake cave. a huge cave with a shallow lake in it. it was beautiful. we went all the way down (a total of 3oo stairs) into the cave guided by the cave guide himself. going down was easy but when it was time to climb upstairs, my knees almost gave way. they were literally shaking. macam orang tua osteoporosis je rasa. haha.
bird's eye view of the cave. i was climbing down the stairs as i snapped this
one of the 'features' inside the cave. the hanging table.
the only usable shot of the cave on my camera. :(
